I was born and raised in Cody and lived here until I graduated from Cody High School. I moved to Denver and worked there until I moved to Crested Butte, CO – a ski town just 24 miles south of Aspen (as the crow flies). I lived in Crested Butte until 1994 when I decided it was time to move back to Cody.

While I lived in Crested Butte, I served on the board of the Gunnison County Electric Association, an electric coop, for 17 years. Part of that time I was President and held other positions as well. I also served on Western United Electric Association a state-wide electric coop for 8 years and was the first woman President of that organization. I served as the first woman director on Colorado Ute Generation and Transmission, a $4 billion dollar company.

I was instrumental in forming the first centralized reservation system for our area. I served on the Board of the Crested Butte State Bank for 14 years until I decided to return to Cody. When I moved to Cody, I joined Cody Rotary and have enjoyed that since 1994. I have served on the Board of Sunlight Federal Credit Union and am presently Chairman of the Supervisory Committee.

When I moved to Denver, I went to work for Mountain Bell and then Shell Oil Company. After I moved to Crested Butte, I worked for the Superintendant of Schools and then at Crested Butte Lodge as reservationist and bookkeeper. Somehow out of that I started Alpine Chalet Rentals, a property management company with 13 ski area homes. I built that company up until we managed about 200 rental homes and condominiums and 13 different condominium associations.

I got my Real Estate Salesman license in 1974 and my Brokers license in 1976. In 1992 I also started a division which booked activities such a snowmobiling, rafting, horseback riding, jeep tours, hot-air balloon rides, walking and biking tours. I sold both of those businesses.

When I got back to Cody I began working for Century 21, Cody Realty. I then got my Wyoming Brokers license and opened American West Realty in 1996 which mainly dealt with property management and also sales.

I was voted Realtor of the Year in 2002 and served as Treasurer of that Board for nine years and Secretary for one year. I am currently a Director on the Northwest Board of Realtors.

I enjoy doing crafts and sewing; I love crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and puzzles of any kind. I love Jeopardy and my Kindle Fire. I love animals and have a rag doll cat (adopted from the shelter), an Amazon Parrot which talks to me and a very funny hairless dog adopted from a women’s prison.

My special skills are organization, follow through and an ability to meet and interact with all types of people. I am intelligent and willing to learn and love a challenge.

My objective is to earn the right to your business and referrals and to have you as a friend and client for life.
